(Galatians 2:8 NKJV) For He who worked effectively in Peter for - TopicsExpress

(Galatians 2:8 NKJV) For He who worked effectively in Peter for the apostleship to the circumcised also worked effectively in me toward the Gentiles. Paul realized that God works differently in individual lives to fulfill His will. The same God that called and equipped Peter for his ministry to the Jews, called Paul to minister to the Gentiles. No call is superior to the other. God only expects you to fulfill what He has ordained you for. People get under pressure because they have allowed the spirit of competition to get a hold of them. We compete with one another when we ought to be complementing one another. We measure our success in life based on what other people around us are doing. But God measures success based on what He has called each one of us to do. Being a pastor over a large congregation does not make you any more successful than a layman that is faithful to God in his place of work. In fact, being in public ministry without a direct instruction from God does not impress Him in any way. Success is simply fulfilling your God-given purpose. May God enable each one of us. Stay Blessed.
