~Ghost Town of Gothic, Colo.~ The massive craggy face of Gothic Mountain (12,625 feet) looms over the town of Gothic with its few scattered dilapidated log and wood frame buildings, in Gunnison County, Colorado. Possibly Garwood Hall, Judds, (last resident after the boom) cabin shows with an automobile and a horse. Mining boom town from 1879 to 1884; bought, in 1928, by the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory for plant and animal research. *Western History/Genealogy Dept., Denver Public Library.
