*** Gifford Pinchot Classic Presented by Lauras Famous Chocolate Chip Cookies *** State Park Series stop #3 What a great day for some disc golfin! Saturdays event at Gifford Pinchot State Park in Lewisberry, PA brought together 75 players from PA, MD and NY. The tournament featured Boulder Woods for the first round and Quakers Challenge for the second (Recreation and Junior Divisions played Boulder Woods twice). Other than the muddy terrain at Boulder Woods and a few spots at the Quake, the courses were ripe for some great play... The first round saw some great rounds as 21/75 players threw par (54) or better!!! Including the 1040 rated round of -8 46 by Ian Liddell, WOW!!! The second round saw 13/68 players throwing par (65) or better at the Quake!!! The best score posted in the second round was a 1009 rated round of -5 60 by Erik Smith. The second round at the Quake also featured brand new pink baskets that were built by two local players...they looked amazing...great job guys!!! TD Chas Ford put together another fine event and players were very happy with all of the turnout and prize giveaways of a basket and a case of Miller Lite (provided by @KeystoneDG).
