In this age, when our knowledge of Christ is so quickly developing, where our understanding of the things of God is exponentially maturing, we run the risk of flattering ourselves, of becoming enamored, fascinated, or captivated to the degree that our focus can gradually become, sadly, ourselves. We must remember and fix our hearts on the example of Jesus Christ, accepting, and acknowledging that we are in Him, and yielding to the truth that our increase is found in our decrease, that our glorification is found in relinquishment, that our exaltation is found in surrender and abandon.
