He mission was, either to correct and preserve life or not-correct and to be punished. Of course, Ezekiel chooses life, the first of the options. The second reading to Romans demands it gently. The Apostle invites us all to do everything in love. Love summarises all rules. And when he says, “love does not do evil to his neighbour,” he points out that we too should fulfil everything in love. The correction of others too comes under this divine act of love. To be corrected, can sometimes be very important. Actually, we make use of it in our daily life.
