~ God does warn us, but we must listen to those warnings ~ The Bible says in Job 33:14-18, For God may speak in one way, or in another, yet man does not perceive it. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men, while slumbering on their beds, then He opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction. In order to turn man from his deed, and conceal pride from man, He KEEPS BACK HIS SOUL FROM THE PITS, and his life from perishing by the sword God always tries to warn us to keep us out of the pits and to keep our lives from danger. And He speaks in many different ways. Sometimes, as we read here, God will speak to us even through a dream. As I look over my own life, I can see that I have fallen into pits at various times because I did not listen to Gods warnings. I DID WHAT I WANTED TO DO, I WANTED WHAT I WANTED TO DO.... I REALLY DIDNT CARE ABOUT WHAT GOD WANTED ME TO DO..... I can recall when I was a rebellious teenager (17 yrs old).... God clearly told me not to hangout , this particular night.... I was home from college for Christmas break..... I was involved in gang activity prior to being accepted in college....This night me and the rest of the gang decided to get us some Richards Wild Irish Rose Wine..... In those days older men would go in the liquor to purchase the wine for us.... This particular night when we asked an older man to purchase the wine he refused, and we got angry... A fight broke out... The older man pulled out a gun and began shooting.... The only one he shot was me.... God saved me for such a time as this.... There have been many times I have been too busy to perceive the fact that God was talking to me. It wasnt that God wasnt warning me. He was. I just had too many other things to do..... Bottom line, I was not taking time to listen to Him. God is always faithful to warn us. Its just that we are not always faithful to listen. So if you find yourself in a pit today because you did not heed Gods warning, ask The Lord to forgive you... Repent. And God will forgive you. And you will be in the position to receive His deliverance. Dear Lord, help me to be sensitive to the hearing of the Holy Spirit, so that I may heed to Your warnings.. In Jesus Name Amen
