“God is the center, the life, and delight of our heart, and our heart will never find peace and happiness unless it rests in him.” (REPOST) I finally really get it - a story I was told years ago when I attended a church in Florida and a Pastor by the name of Dan Hall started me on this love affair with God! He said, “Come every Sunday!” and I did! The story was about a time he went on a missionary trip and he visited the sick ward of an awful prison. He described it as one of the worst places you could possibly imagine. It smelled horrible and I will save you the other details, but as he spoke to a prisoner who laid on his dying bed with his eyes closed, telling him how much God loved him, the prisoner surprisingly opened his eyes and looked at Pastor Dan, smiled, and responded…. “I know.” No matter where life may take you, once you know that you’re never alone and that we go with God, that’s when we find true peace and happiness! Now that’s the “peace that passes all understanding,” my guys! One of my other favorite Pastor Dan moments was when he brought out an apple during one of his sermons. He told a story of a guy having a debate with some atheists, who gave so many reasons why we should not believe in God. After which, the guy just calmly took a bite of the apple and then asked the atheist, “Is this apple sweet or sour?” The atheist replied, “How would I know if I haven’t tasted it?” The guy then replies, “That’s the same with my God, until you’ve tasted the sweetness, you will never know!” Rejoice and trust God always! Live kindly, love extravagantly, forgive quickly and let everything you do be pleasing to God! WE GO WITH GOD!
