"God’s greatest attribute is love God is not willing that anyone perish but rather that all would come to repentance. God’s desire is that all men and woman would call upon him for salvation. Peter was learning this lesson on his rooftop. God was teaching Peter that no longer was he to consider the Gentiles unclean; those that call for salvation will be holy unto the Lord. Peters job and all of those in the church was to proclaim the gospel so that all who called upon the name of the Lord would be saved. God showed Peter that when someone was placed into the linen of Christ’s righteousness they would forever be holy unto the Lord. That is the significance of the sheet. It symbolized the imputed righteousness of Christ. God hand places us into the sheet and then He lifts us up from the ground unto heaven.
