#GreatFeeling: When my collegues, board members and vendors are calling me to wish me a FAST recovery... they thought my surgery was for tomorrow... Awww! Being an Accountant its not a position that gives you the ability to establish relationships outside of business. Yet, Im fortunate enough that even as being the deliverer of bad news - LOL when it comes to budgeting and Finance - I still get to show some good to establish friendships regardless. I have bosses and coworkers from past positions stay in contact and invite me to life events such as weddings, baby showers and birthdays. That speaks louder than words! Remember: ANYTHING WORTH DOING is doing it to the BEST of your abilities! If you dont like your career or job.. CHANGE IT! Your work will SHOW how good and happy (OR UNHAPPY) you are. This then turns in to a snowball effect and causes MORE negativity in the workplace and THAT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE! I LOVE my career.. I GET NUMBERS... Graphs... rules and regulations... I LOVE balancing and creating new procedures to resolve any issues that may come up. I ALSO enjoy working with a non-profit that introduces the Arts to children and young people and fills in where Public Education has been cut from such a BEAUTIFUL WORLD!
