After several requests for information from our members, INDY 2.0 cannot yet find any evidence that (allegedly neutral) BARRs asked Jim Murphy to return their property (the BARRs crates belong to BARRs) and stop using their brand while advocating a No vote in the independence campaign. There is a rumour that they DID ask him to stop, but after an exhaustive search we cannot find any evidence of this. If you are aware of concrete evidence (an official letter of complaint from BARRs to Murphy for example) please let us know. For BARRs sake, let us know! For the moment we are struggling to reconcile the fact that A.G. BARR publicly instructed the SNP/Yes Scotland to stop using the IRN-BRU colours (a demand that Yes immediately obeyed) with BARRs apparent silence regarding Jim Murphys use of the full IRN-BRU product logo (plus colours, plus bottles, plus crates) in his Better Together campaign.
