Judges 14:4 There is virtually nothing God has said or done or is saying and doing that has no purpose. Many of us seem to falter in obedience because we don’t seek to find out the purpose behind the instruction. Saul thought it was merely about winning the battle over the Amalekites and taking the oxen and spoils of victory. No! He was wrong. God wanted the annihilation of the Amalekites (1Sam. 15:2-3) Israel thought it was about merely possessing the land and so they retained some of the inhabitants of the land. Many believers don’t mind to live with or co-exist with certain strongholds in their life but God cannot. And ye shall make no league with the inhabitants of this land; ye shall throw down their altars: but ye have not obeyed my voice: why have ye done this? Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you. Judg. 2:2-3 Esther almost misunderstood the purpose of her enthronement, until her uncle Mordecai straightened her up. Israel would still have been saved but Esther and her household would have been forgotten (Esther 4:13-14) But thank God, Joseph knew the reason for his promotion. He fulfilled divine purpose. (Gen. 50:20) On their way out of Egypt the Lord by favour gave gold to the children of Israel, spoiling the Egyptians thereby. (Ex. 12:36) But in Ex 25 the Lord asked for an offering of gold in the wilderness The day you realize that everything in the kingdom is about God and His Christ and not about you that is the day your obedience is fulfilled. You were saved, blessed, healed and called for a divine purpose. You are a child of destiny bearing divine promises and purpose. May your eyes be opened this day to His purpose for your life in Jesus Name. Your rest and lifting is in His will and plan and by the Holy Spirit may you find it out in Christ Jesus Name.
