~Happy Teachers Day~ Busy doing nothing, lately I realized that I have officially resigned as a student with the tag Unemployed. I was confused as to how should I carry-out myself. So half-heartedly I got dressed up in my half-formal and half-casual outfit with a toilet slipper to give a finishing touch and headed out to No-Wheres Land peannyless. Hmmm... This Financial problem seems to play a major theme in my life story and in my State. Then I met a friend of mine just infront of a bank. Ironic that I should be standing there with fleshless pockets. Just then, this friend was sneaking out his eyes here and there actively, and said: We should run from this place. RUN?? WHY?? I was confused. Then I noticed a group of students sticking Teachers Day badge to the pedestrains. Oh! I remembered. The students have this legacy of sticking badge to the passer-by in the name of Teachers Day on 4th September, and we have to donate some amount for the badge. RUN! Yes, I should definitely run as I didnt have any cash to donate. But why he? Then I realized that my friend was also sailing on the same boat with me in financial terms. Yes! We should run from here before they approach us and embarrasse us, I echoed his thought, and we took a U-turn to avoid them as if they were some kind of plague gone bad. But then we noticed another group of students with the same legacy heading our way from the other direction. One group of Students on the left + another group of Students on the right + a peannyless us at the center = We were mathematical srewed with a big Zero in our pockets. Some how we took a narrow short-cut and made a narrow escape from the embarrassment. Then with a little irritation I shouted at my friend: You are a Govt Teachear who earns. Atleast you should keep 10rs in your pocket. To this he back fired me: Yeah! A Govt Graduate Teacher who havent made contact with his salary for the last 3 months. Actually you know what? Instead of running away from those students, I should have knelt down infront of them and said - Dear Students, I have done my duty in teaching you. But the Govt is not paying us and my kitchen is running dry. Would you students pay us for teaching you please...? But of course why should they! They are paying their fees. I just hope that some of my students dont grow up to be like the corrupt leaders of today, while some of them will be suffering like me with their 2nd and 3rd grade jobs. Now I lost all the enthusiasm to teach, the profession I was so passionate about once. I went back home, and at night I slept with the words my unpaid Teacher friend told me. Then in the morning I was woken up by a loud shouts of repeated slogans from the Students in procession: LONG LIVE TEACHERS DAY And I sleepily thought... Yeah, Teachers Day will be celebrated every year. Teachers Day will live long. But at this rate, what about the Teachers? Will they live long? Atleast the Passionate ones; will their passion survive for long????
