“He Turned It” Psalm 30:1-12 key verse 11 Transition is taking place in our lives. That is why things are not working in the place where we are. We cannot stay where we are; it won’t work. There are some things that God is going to have to turn in order for us to fulfill our assignment. Although we have not been perfect, we have been faithful. Because of our faithfulness, we are moving into transition. The transition process is a set period in time for changing from one condition to another. We have grown and our needs have changed. Even though our flesh has not caught up… our Spirit requires more. God is preparing us for greater. In order for us to get through this transition, there will be some things that God has to turn. Turn (verb) means to move or to cause something to move in a circular motion on an axis, to rotate, spin, circle, pivot or gyrate. In this season we will have to be so nimble that when the direction that we are going in is not working ----> we have to pivot. In the pivot, we will be able to see more clearly. Turn also means to revolve. In this transition, there is going to be a revolution. God is going to turn it to help us get to our destiny. Turn can also mean to move something to a different position in relation to its surroundings or previous position; to change directions. Some people will not be included in our revolution. We should stop being upset because people that we have vested in are not with us anymore. This is life or death and there is no time for games. We have to tell them “baby I grew up!” In this season, we have to have people in our corner who appreciates what God is doing in us. In the Spirit, we are about to make a U-turn. We are going to be changing the position of our body so that it will be facing in a different direction. To turn is to change in nature, state, form or color; to become. When God finishes turning it, we will become something that before our transition, we were not. We will change right before people’s eyes. God is developing us into what we were supposed to turn out to be. We are in the process of becoming. We are not where we used to be and we are not yet where we will be… We are IN THE TURN! The first thing that comes with destiny is pain. There are some developments that must occur in our life. They are already set in motion and beyond our control. Some things have to be hard, but we must remember that God knows what He is doing. When there is a turn (noun), it’s an opportunity or obligation that comes successively to each of a number of people. IT IS ABOUT TO BE EVERYBODY’S TURN! Question: What is He gonna turn? God is gonna turn everything in the last season that made us cry or caused us pain or kept us up at night or had us depressed. BUT it will require faith in His Word to the point of obedience and praise. God told Israel to take Jericho. They had specific instructions to march around the city 6 times and on the 7th time shout and the walls would come down. Our shout is what will remove barriers. Question: When is He gonna turn it? It won’t be when we expect it. Human nature expects it during the day. But God is gonna turn it when we are asleep and our breakthrough will come in the morning. Weeping may endure for a night BUT if we can get through the night… late in the midnight hour… God’s gonna turn it around! Paul and Silas prayed and sang at midnight and while they were praising God turned it. In the transition, if God is turning it… we are gonna have to lean with it. We will have to be flexible. Like riding in a car, we will have to lean into the turns. God’s turning it! ~Bishop Coleman @ GNHCM 10:30am Worship Service 8/17/2014
