“Hear my prayer, LORD; let my cry for help come you. Do not - TopicsExpress

“Hear my prayer, LORD; let my cry for help come you. Do not hide your face from me when I am in distress. Turn your ear to me; when I call, answer me quickly.” Psalm 102:1-2 (NIV) Unlike many of the other psalms, we don’t know who wrote Psalm 102. The only note the Bible gives us is: “A prayer of an afflicted person who has grown weak and pours out a lament before the Lord.” Perhaps youve felt this way – and what you want more than anything is to know you’re not alone. Life isn’t easy – there can be many things that might make us feel unloved, insignificant, alone, and hopeless. And yet, in the midst of our intense feelings, God sees it all. He knows what we’re wrestling with. He’s with us every moment. As Psalm 102 continues, the psalmist realizes the Lord will arise in compassion to show favor (v13), He’ll rebuild, respond and look down to hear ever cry (v16-20). God never asks us to rescue ourselves. Instead, He asks us to call out to Him and keep our hope and our confidence in the One who knows every doubt, every fear, and every pain. He knows how badly we need to know. No matter what you’re facing, no matter how alone you feel, no matter how difficult things may seem – remember…He knows.
