Hi folks, The Harper government is trying to push through Bill C-22, which includes an update law to shield the Canadian nuclear industry from responsibility in the event of an accident, before summer. Greenpeace and the Canadian Environmental Law Association will be presenting to the committee next week. Ive been told by opposition MPs it would be helpful for them to hear concerns from the public about shielding the nuclear industry from liability. The committee will be discussing the nuclear section of the bill next Thursday (June 5). If you can, please make a written submission to the committee. If you send your submission to the clerk, he will forward it to members of the committee.
