“Him therefore when Peter had seen, he saith to Jesus: Lord, and what shall this man do? Jesus saith to him: So I will have him to remain till I come, what is it to thee? Follow thou me. “ ➕John 21.21-22➕ YOU FOLLOW ME As Catholics we usually pay more attention to what others do than to what we do ourselves and a parable about a beam in an eye confirms that. We like to comment what spiritual life other have but what Jesus thinks about it? I believe that the verse from gospel of John goes even further then we thought. It is not only talking about not paying attention to sins of others but also about not paying attention to anything they do! It is telling us about not talking in any negative way about people. We often talk what some priest did, what parish priest did or what happened in a parish on the other side of the town. But Jesus position is clear what ever happened in “X” parish is only between them and God! It is not our business! Jesus said “what is that to you?” It doesn’t mean that you don’t have to pray for others or bless others. But it excludes talking about what they did or what they didn’t do. Their mistakes are their business, you have to follow Jesus! In other words Jesus is saying that you must first of all take care about your walk with God! You standing with God is your main concern not others! -- Spiritual Catholic--
