“Holiness to the Lord.” [Exodus 28: 36]. The High - TopicsExpress

“Holiness to the Lord.” [Exodus 28: 36]. The High Priest’s garments must have been beautifully made and stunning to see. On his forehead he wore a pure gold plate with the engraving, “Holiness to the Lord,” on it. It was a clear reminder that he was set apart to bear the sins of the Nation in God’s absolutely holy presence. As we prepare to meet our God tomorrow, in a place specially set apart for the purpose, it is a reminder to us of God’s holiness. Moses and the Nation sang, “Who is like You, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?”[Exodus 15:11]. What a wonderful phrase, “..glorious in holiness..” Our Saviour remained perfectly holy and did not require to wear any thing to signify His holiness. We, too, have songs to sing to Him as we worship Him on the Lord’s Day: “Holy, holy, holy! Though the darkness hide Thee, though the eye of sinful man Thy glory may not see, only Thou art holy; there is none beside Thee, perfect in power, in love and purity.” https://youtube/watch?v=yoPyLcY6Zv4
