Honorable Justice V Ramasubramanian of Madras High Court observed that after the censor of a film, if they receive any kind of threat to release the movie citing caste, religion, and kind of funny things, they can straight away approach the court if they feel so..This statement of High Court Judge is a great step in the right direction towards ensuring freedom of expression and safe guarding the constitutional mandate given to the people... Basically it is the govt in power which is supposed to enforce this and now they have no other obligation than to go by the words of High Court.. failing which Supreme Court will knock on the heads of unwanted elements in the society... Film Makers, Directors - now go ahead and make films that u deem fit to the society with appropriate messages that would enhance the values and safeguard the long cultural values which we have inherited for generations... but at the same time, never misuse and abuse the powers given to you by our constitution... the same constitution will then get back to you and kick u out...
