~ How now, Khalid Abu Bakar? ~ Excerpt: Australia opposes the death penalty. We oppose the death penalty for Australians at home and abroad. The Observer sez: The IGP can now wash his hands on the matter and pass the buck to Wisma Putra to negotiate with the Aussies. It will be conveniently forgotten that PDRM as well as the Home ministry drop the ball in terms of keeping surveillance on a defendant who had a pending court verdict. Inexplicably, it never occurred to the authorities that a death penalty decision might prompt a suspect to flee the country beforehand. Siruls chances of being granted asylum in Australia, if he chooses to apply, looks bright. Heck, he may even strike it rich by resorting to spilling the beans on the real culprit(s) who gave the order to kill. And lets not forget that there is another episode to the Altantuya murder i.e. her family is suing Putrajaya [tinyurl/qzgw57u] It aint over till the fat lady sings!
