“I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay,” (Qur’an, 7:12). In this verse The Devil (Iblis) did not want to bow/salute Adam (as) because he felt that he was better do to the fact that earth is something which is lowly in nature and he himself was made of fire. When he saw Adam (as) he only saw him with eyesight and not insight. He did not see the reality and that is that earth brings forth life whereas fire destroys everything it comes in contact with. This is the nature of envy, jealousy and arrogance, often times it does not allow you to see reality for what it is and this is the case when you have brothers and sisters that all they do is see the negative aspects in the work that other Muslim individuals or communities are doing. We want to focus on negativity and refuse to look at the positive and often times this is just a manifestation of ones envious nature. Instead of Building/adding on to the work that is being done we are quick to try and Destroy by slandering, backbiting and character assassinations and yet it is these same individuals who arent doing anything themselves in order to improve the condition of the Muslims and people general.. Stop hating family and stay sucker free
