//I dont particularly care if anyone comments or not, Id just like to know if you enjoyed the short story or not.// A small gremlin-like being gadded through the many hallways and corridors of the skyscraper, constantly having a crazy, yet endearing smile that stretched from ear to ear. It stood at about 7 to 9 inches tall, wearing very small scaled clothing resembling pajamas. The being was making high pitched squeaking noises as it made a step. Bui! Bui! Bui! Repeated again and again as the thing traversed the place, with no apparent objective in mind nor ulterior motive. It had tails, a large amount of them. They swished about, its fluffiness making them seem poofy and cuddly. The little creature had completely black colored eyes, with no apparent cornea nor iris. Suddenly, a shadow fumigated in front of the tiny and otherwise Kawaii figure, shaping into a Minotaur-esque demon. It stopped, trembling ever so slightly, most likely due to the sheer difference in size. The shadow struck, sending the puny being skyrocketing towards a window and crashing through it, spewing shards of glass everywhere. The little character reoriented itself mid-air, landing swiftly on its feet in a tree. A small line of blood trickled down its forehead, the metallic taste lingering in its mouth, causing the creature to fidget slightly at the taste of its own blood. The Minotaur demon launched out of the window, landing with a loud crash at the base of the tree, bellowing so loudly the tree began to vibrate, shaking the small combatant out of it. When it regained its balance, the Minotaur spoke. What did you expect to happen, little Twotails. Youre nothing but a speck in the wind, incapable of putting the tiniest of scratches on anything, biotic or abiotic. The Minotaur burst out into a haughty laughter, the character known as Twotails now beginning to tremble. Dont make me... It spoke in the most softest and childish of tones, similar to that of an infant. Ill demolish you! The Twotails sprung up, its black eyes replaced with burning embers, claws replacing where its hands used to be. Twotails gouged into the Minotaurs neck, then digging its petite teeth into it, drinking its blood. The Minotaur yelled in pain, falling onto its knees. Twotails continued his attack, biting deep with his fangs and clawing into its neck, burrowing into it. The small creature dug into the Minotaurs body, eating away at its meat and organs internally. The Minotaur fell forward dead, Twotails bursting out of its cerebral area victorious and covered in demon blood. He hopped off and shook the blood from his clothing, looking almost as good as new, albeit a few buffs on its cheeks. Thatll teach you... A man stepped behind Twotails, his arms crossed and his eyes glowing a bright and piercing azure blue. He room his hand and bopped Twotails on the head lightly, making him acknowledge his presence with a small yelp. Quite the mess youve made little Twotail. You expect me to clean it up? A cold wind blew into the area, making the little fox-like being shiver. It responded in its usual baby-like voice, N-no... It wasnt me anyway, I... Found it like that! The man narrowed his eyes, irked and wearing on his patience. He sighed and knelt down, petting the childs head gently. Its fine, you did well anyway. He proceeded to the deceased demon, stretching out his hand and absorbing the soul of the Minotaur, clenching his fist as he finished. Little Twotails scurried up the mans arm and nestled on his shoulder, snuggling his head on the mans neck. Frost is the best master Twotails has had. Twotails has become a better assassin since becoming Frosts apprentice! Frost chuckled, standing up and nodding slightly, putting his hands into his pockets and walking into the school building. Perhaps. Frost shrugged when Twotails skittered up to the top of his head, nestling on top of that as well. He made a small purring sound as he slumbered peacefully, the pajamas sheltering him lightly from the cold. Frost is a good person on the inside, people just need to break through the wall. Frost chuckled and steadied himself, not wanting to topple the little one on his head. He thought to himself at the little ones observation. break through the wall. It seemed true enough, but there was indeed more to it. He shrugged it off for the moment, and pressed on with the little one, taking a detour and stopping at the out of place playground. I wonder why we even have this. Being a desolate and empty industrial park, it baffled Frost as to why a playground was necessary. He digressed. Little Twotails stirred as Frost spoke, looking around. Frost brought Twotails to a playground? Frost is nice! I told them so! The hyper fox-child launched off of Frosts head, jumping and climbing about the jungle gym, monkey bars, and assorted swings. The sight of it brought a faint and small smile to Frost. No matter who you were, it was adorable.
