“I have been a Reflexologist for 18 years and am a volunteer in the healing arts area, offering Foot Reflexology to the participants. In 18 years at this profession I have never felt anything quite like the feeling of elation from working with the participants at Stewarts Caring Place. It doesnt matter what kind of day I am having when I walk in because I am renewed when I leave. It is like that every single time. That feeling comes from the sense of freedom I feel with volunteering my services! As their caregiver, both the participant and I can relax and be in the moment completely without the concern for monetary compensation. That is liberating for me and reduces a great deal of stress for the participant. I have never worked with people who are so gracious and thankful for the kinds of services we offer. I get thanked and hugged all the time for volunteering. It is my privilege to care for these very brave and special participants.
