“…I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live” (Deuteronomy 30:19) A very important thing to realize as a Christian is that you have a choice in life. You don’t have to accept what life hands out to you or settle for mediocrity – you don’t! When you received the Holy Spirit, Who is the power of God, He brought into you the dynamic ability to cause changes! If the circumstances of your life don’t favor you in any way, you can change them! Actually, no one else can change them but you. For example, if you were born into a family where the normal progression is for the members to grow up poor, and then pass the same trend to their children, now that you’re in Christ, and youve learnt through the Word of your inexhaustible riches in Christ, you ought to declare boldly, “I refuse to be poor! I’m an heir of God and a joint heir with Christ! I dwell in prosperity” That way, youve chosen to alter the existing state of affairs; youve rejected the statusquo. Use the Word of God as your standard, and chart the right course for your life.
