*I know these past couple of weeks Ive been sharing about just exactly where I am at in life and how Im connecting with self love, self discovery, and self worth. Well I came across this kid last night and knew I had to share a video of his. Yes.. weve all heard Hero before.. Mariah Carey is one of those instant classic makers when it comes to music. But....I really want to challenge you to listen to this song telling yourself the following: You are worth something. You are worth loving. You are strong and beautiful, and you have the power within to love yourself. I used to not think that. I used to not believe that I had any real value. If anything, I had to look to others to tell me I did. To tell me Im worth something. To give me validation. I seeked others approval so desperately that when I didnt get it or when I stopped getting it I would then drink myself into this pathetic stupor state of being and ask myself Why am I not worth loving? Why doesnt this person accept me and love me? When I finally understood that I HAD to learn to love myself, had to learn to accept myself..only then was I able to make peace with myself, and no longer did I need that outside validation. When I stopped looking to the others for acceptance, and instead started accepting and loving myself I was then able to see the HERO within me! So again I challenge you to listen to this song with knowing: Although you cant control outside factors (people, places, and things) you can control yourself, your thoughts, your actions, your state of being. And you are worth loving.. Because you DO have a hero within you who is ready and willing to pull you through whatever you are going through and is ready to help you finally shine ❤ #Loveyourself #youareyourownhero
