I like that the California Department of Corrections has the same affordability policy as MIT: "if you are admitted, we will make sure you can afford to come." it costs an average of $35,267.11 per year to keep Larelle locked up at Susanville. apparently that is cheaper than a year at MIT these days which comes to about $57,010. But that includes tuition and fees of $42,050. Housing and Dining alone is only $12,188.
