"I live not far from this Pub Restaurant and stopped going there several years ago because of cleanliness issues and poor food quality, after reading some reviews on this site I visited and looked at the menu! As my Wife and I are vegetarians I was not impressed by the choice for us, I decided to have a chat with the Chef explaining that there was limited choice and asked would he cook something not on the menu, he then offered us several different Vegetarian options he would cook for us, on that basis I booked for four people for today 04/09/2013 having chosen Pancakes filled with various vegetables topped with cheddar Cheese and salad with a side portion of mash potatoes for my Wife and Chips for myself, as stated by other reviews the chips are the real thing and delicious, our other two diners not Vegetarians chose Angel Chicken Melt with bacon and BBQ sauce and the 4th diner had Cajun Salmon salad with French Dressed Salad. I would advise that when the meals arrived the portions were very large and all of us were over 70 years of age and had no hope of eating meals this big except for my Sister in Law who has a large appetite, just a warning for people who are thinking of visiting, and order starters then the main meal might be too much for them, we could not order a desert as we were very full after the main meal that we could not finish, the new owners have made such a difference to this pub that it is now advisable to book due to the popularity of this fine dining establishment.
