I lost my job five and a half years ago. I started selling on Ebay to make a few dollars until I found something.Christy and I had $2500 and a pile of bills coming due. I thought it would be a good Idea to start a business. Five years ago today we opened the door at Main Trading Company for the first time. I was kind of expecting a huge crowd to rush in but they didnt. It has been quite a ride..A year into it Christine Lenoir lost her job of many years here in local radio. She has been working in the store full time ever since. There have sure been some rough and scary times. You would not believe the amount of work that has gone in and still goes into this place but we are still here and growing. For some of the locals, what we do here at MTC is still a Mystery but for folks that are into radio as a hobby they know. MTC has built quite a following all over the country. We were told by one manufacturer last year that we were the number five dealer in the nation. We are not number five anymore. And that was awesome news. Who would have ever thought. I sure didnt. Thanks everyone and I mean everyone, from the manufacturers that probably reluctantly gave us a chance, the individuals that have came in and bought from us , our awesome online customers, our many friends that we have met traveling all over the country,our banker, our familes and lots of folks that have prayed we could make it. Thanks especially to God. He continues to bless us for some reason. I know I dont measure up to His standards, not even close but He still makes sure all of us here are taken care of.
