... I really cant seem to quite understand the youth today when it comes to their sense of responsibility, their sense of urgency, or their sense of pride in a job well done. Ive never seen the lack of authority in a workplace like Ive seen in recent days as the times are changing and less people seem to care about the job just as long as they get a paycheck. There isnt very much heart anymore. Kids are being trained to slack off and to not want to work. They want to talk and play on their phones, and when I or anyone else ask them to do something, they do the minimal amount of work and think that they are done. They either cant understand or they wont, which addresses the issue of respect for the customers, and the respect of the authority figures. I mean, I actually heard a kid ask another kid to show him how to mop a bathroom floor tonight. Totally unreal. With children like these that I work with, and I really do try to instruct them and to teach them in the best possible manner, I can fully understand why our country is going down the tubes. They have been indoctrinated to believe in entitlements. They only want their bread and circus.
