I remember getting spanked three times as a kid. I wont go into detail, but I will say I deserved it every time. It was at my Dads hand and he was careful not to spank too hard, careful not to use the full force of his factory-created muscle to cross the line from corporal punishment to child abuse. Honestly, thinking back, it really didnt hurt all that much, it was more humiliating than anything. No belts or switches (tree branches) were involved. The bottom line is I was raised right and I have no issue with a seldom used putch on the butt to get the point across to a kid who is in need of discipline. As long as it comes from the parents and nobody else. But using a weapon and creating what look like whip marks on a four year old childs legs is CHILD ABUSE. Now, in most cases I would say innocent until proven guilty. The suspect deserves to keep earning a living while the case pans out. Not in this case. Adrian Peterson should be off the field until this is settled. And off the field forever if hes convicted. Playing in the NFL is not a right, its a privilege. Minnesota Vikings ownership, front office, management and coaching staff, you should be ashamed of yourself for letting this guy continue to play. OK, thats my opinion.
