I think part of the problem is the glee we get out of seeing black girls being set straight. Coincidentally, a mouthy black male teenager who gets shot will garner sympathy as opposed to this type of harsh judgement. - sister Breanna Nouveaux (her comment on the discussion of the video of the NYC train fight) I noticed that this is the case. A lot of black people get a kick out of seeing black women assaulted by a black male on camera whether it is a fight she started or he started, if she was attacked for no reason, or if she is a black child being beaten like a runaway slave by her father. I noticed that black people (males and their mammy female cheerleaders) love watching recordings of these assaults and I dont see this in other cultures (among East or South Asians, and rarely among Latinos, Europeans or among non-Muslim Africans). Not to say that violence against women (or violence perpetrated by women) isnt present in these cultures, but they dont get a kick out of recording, hosting, sharing and laughing at these videos. Why is that? What is the basis of this sick, demented pleasure of seeing black girls and women assaulted by men whether provoked or unprovoked? Is it based in frustration, deep-seeded hatred of black women and girls, is it a release for frustrations stemming from failures in life?
