“I took a very serious look at my faith today. I questioned - TopicsExpress

“I took a very serious look at my faith today. I questioned whether remaining in the Republican party meant that I was Christian or whether I was claiming Christianity yet falling short of the requirements of being a Christian. I compared my vote for the Republican party and exactly what the outcome has been for over the last 30 years. I find that any Christian who desires to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ cannot honestly expect the Republican party to do things that are within the teachings of Christianity. For example: I didnt vote to take Food Stamps away from those who need them to feed their families. I didnt vote to have Social Security taken away from disabled people. I didnt vote to keep people from being able to draw their Unemployment. I surely didnt vote to take Health Care coverage away from those 10 million families that were just able to get it. Ive prayed about it and I just cant find any reason to support the Republican party in their obvious goals to take from the poor and give the rich. I want to challenge any middle-class Republican to consider this post. I certainly do not want to stand in judgment having to explain why I voted for a group of people who are this heartless to the poor and seniors of our society.
