I was thinking tonight about one of my first mentors in my life. He was also my friend. He is probably the person I learned the most about warfare and politics and why one can screw up the other. But most of all he said to me I was the only kid (I was 6 at the time) that actually understood it all. That was Col David Hackworth. He was a frequent guest on the Lee Rodgers morning show. He was against the Vietnam war yet went and did his duty tour after tour and he formed the original Tiger force. The alleged controversy did not occur under Hacks command. But I hold true that as an American you kick and scream and fight like hell to keep us out of war without compromising our safety. However once the choice is made to go to was then you back the soldiers and the mission. In Vietnam the Whitehouse and Westmoreland wanted body counts and would order hills to be taken, then abandoned wasting precious blood. We Were Soldiers was one of the most accurate movies about Vietnam. My friend fought in that war sadly later to die on 9/11. Hack made me an Honorary member of his Tigerforce. Because of my health I am unable to join the military. Our soldiers that have served with honor are the best our country has. Please respect them. I rarely hate, but there are two American groups I have an installed disdain for. Code Pink, and the KKK. This is something modern liberal progressives forget. Heck most wars the US found itself involved in was under Democrat Leadership. Well America is being invaded today by an undetermined force. Our borders are left wide open and easy to cross. Now of a population you have a certain percentage of psychopaths, killers, rapists, thiefs, and when I say thiefs I am not talking about your simple shoplifter, I mean professional grifters, and home invasion types, so with there being between 12 and 20 million illegals in this country so even if it was a tiny 1% that cross the border to do harm we are facing the largest invasion force in the history of the United States. My Great Grandma Lita she was old school Mexican from New Mexico and she always felt the border needed to be locked down tight. Its not racist to secure the borders. Some make that charge and well those that do really are clueless. There is a way that is legal to become a US Citizen. I dedicate this to my friend William Powell and my friend Bryan Anderson, Bryan I will assault and take that parking space with you any day brother. :)
