"I was told that a child will listen to about 20% of what a parent tells them, 50% of what a teacher tells them and 90% of what a coach tells them" From a post in the Toronto Sun. I have no idea on the veracity if those stats but they seem to make sense. So coaches, need to be very mindful of the messages and directions you provide your players. As a parent, I would also agree with the 20% comment. Selecting the right mentor/ coach becomes a very crucial decision in light of that, if true. Keeks
