...I wish not to be identified with overtly politically sensitive issues, but am compelled to offer an opinion (yeez don’t HAVE to agree with me) that it seems staggering to me that Mankind (or bits of it, at any rate) think it’s entirely justifiable to spend billions and billions (NOT merely millions and millions) of dollars landing a bit of metal on a lump of rock whizzing around in the universe, minding its own business, and similarly send another huge bit of metal to Mars to see if there’s enuff water to make a cup of tea, and yet balk, resist, refuse, ignore the fact that a FRACTION of the money frittered on the space nonsense could arguably be better invested in resolving the appalling illness, poverty, hunger, and distress that floods the so-called civilised WURLD we live in... p’raps I’m getting too old for this sh*t, Mabel....:(((
