#IBPS Introduces Prelims & Mains for #PO & #Clerk in New Exam Pattern Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has come up with a new change in its examination pattern for Probationary Officers & Clerks posts. The new examination pattern will come into force from Common Written Examination (#CWE)-V. While exam pattern for CWE RRB-IV – Recruitment of Officers Scales I, II & III and Office Assistants and CWE Specialist-V is to remain the same. IBPS has smartly included the Preliminary Examination for shortlisting the creamy layer of candidates before they appear for the Mains exam. The candidates who then qualify the Prelims will be called for the Main Written Examination. Candidates who excel in the Mains will be summoned for the Interview. Preliminary Examination would have fewer questions and will be of short duration. The details for both the examination will be issued by IBPS in due course of time. Another twist to the new exam scheme is that marks of the Preliminary Examination will not be considered for calling the candidate in the Interview. IBPS will consider only the Main Examination marks for selecting candidate in the Interview. Other formalities related to applying online and payment of fees would remain same as candidate will have to register only once for Prelims and Mains though IBPS’ website.
