******IMPORTANT***** An author spends many, many hours creating a story, organising plots, writing and getting lost in a world that is full of emotion, in a hope to keep their readers on their toes, and for somewhere for their readers to escape to. I spent 13 months writing Impulses. For so long it was mine, and then I pressed that publish button and shared a piece of my heart and soul which laid within my story, with the world. So you can only imagine how heartbroken and utterly devastated I am finding it on not one, not two, but three pirate sites. Im at a complete and utter loss at what to do, how to process this and sort it out. Sheer devastation doesnt come anywhere close to what I am feeling. I was unable to gift copies of Impulses from amazon in giveaways purely because amazon.co.uk doesnt support that option. What did I do? I trusted fellow human beings, like I always have done, and I sent a mobi/epub file to them directly. Could this be seen as sheer naivety? Maybe so, but should trusting someone who you gift a piece of your heart and soul to, be classed as naivety? My heart has been shattered. You hear of authors whos work has been pirated and you can understand their pain...but only when your own work is pirated do you truly feel that level of betrayal. Please, support your authors, and dont fall victim to this. Purchase your copies from whatever store they are available from. Please.
