...IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS... Our friend, the very talented Paul Galang with son Sol Galang, trek to Japan once a year to raise funds for the free schooling they so lovingly gift to their communitys urban poor. I first met the gentleman at the conservatory some 40 years ago. Everytime he needed an orchestral arrangement, I would render it for him. A typical MAKIBAKA U.P. student, he has had to go in exile in Scandinavia for a couple of years just to be spared from the wrath of the powers that be during the Martial Law years. I guess Paul will forgive me when I reveal to you that he was already being targetted for a salvage-style assasination. The Lord protects His people who do a good Christians deeds on the faithful...alas...I am glad to be able to mingle within the midst of this gentleman who is a great benefactor and friend to many in his barangay and his constituents.
