***INTERNSHIP OPP*** Job ID: 18274 Job Title: Marketing Intern (CPI) Organization Name: ISU Credit Union Role: To increase and improve the Credit Unions marketing efforts by employing a guerilla marketing approach. Non-conventional ideas, ability to take risks, forward thinking and innovative ideas by creating effective and inventive tools/events to increase Credit Unions visibility with community events, membership, select employee groups and ability to thwart competitors efforts by quick deployment of ideas, to create competitive advantages. Responsible to quickly deploy marketing plans and drive awareness and appeal of the ISU CU brand, products, and services; with the target of high school and university age consumers. Responsible for a wide variety of activities and special projects designed to position the Credit Union as a leader in correspondent services; responsible for targeted marketing, cultivating relationships with third-party influencers, member service, and market research. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: 55% Create effective and inventive advertising and sales promotion plans and events to increase Credit Unions visibility in community, membership, and SEG groups. 30% Develops special events; planning, implementation, and execution of each event. Work with appropriate staff and partners to help implement, evaluate and report on project activities; provide training and assistance as needed to implement project activities; with the primary target being university and high school age consumers. 10 % Conducts market research for improvements 5% Performs other job related duties as assigned. Performance Measurement: 1. To have forward thinking and innovative ideas by creating effective and inventive tools/events to increase Credit Unions visibility within the community, membership, and select employee groups. 2. Develop and implement all plan projects; coordinate project activities with appropriate staff and executive team. 3. Coordinate the communication process to community, members, and select employee groups to explain programs, plan, and include information about the program through marketing efforts. 4. Responsible to quickly deploy marketing plans used to drive awareness and appeal of the ISU CU brand, products, and services; with the target of university and high school age consumers. 5. Provide guerilla marketing plan to executive management team, by giving recommendations based on current research marketing data, regarding the credit unions marketing plan and strategies and directions the credit union should take 6. To ensure executive management team is informed. Qualifications: Experience: Basic experience in customer service fields; Education: Pursuing college degree in related field Interpersonal: Skills Self-starter, who is motivated with the ability to motivate or influence others, forward thinker, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; respectful of deadlines of self and others. Have ability to take risks; by bringing new inventive ideas to the drawing board and putting them into an action plan quickly. High energy, positive attitude, good communication skills, and has an understanding of college and high school age demographics. Other Skills: Advanced knowledge and use of social media such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Must have valid drivers license.
