“IT IS POSSIBLE TO BE MARVELOUSLY CLEVER AND STILL BE DISHONEST, OR TO GET WHAT YOU WANT BY BEING ABSURDLY POLITE.” (Then there are those Hypocrites looking very solemn and mournful, will deceive, when you least expect it.) I will guide you and teach you the way you should go. I will give you good advice and watch over you. Don’t be like the horse or the mule. They can’t understand anything. They have to be controlled by bits and bridles. If they aren’t, they won’t come to you. Sinful people have all kinds of trouble. But the LORD’s faithful love is all around those who trust in him. Be glad because of what the LORD has done for you. Be joyful, you who do what is right! Sing, all of you whose hearts are honest! (Ps.32:8-11)… O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing. Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD. What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good? Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile. Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. (Ps.34:8-14)… The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding… Fear the Lord and keep his Law; that is what Wisdom is all about. You may know everything there is to know about wickedness, but that does not make you wise. It is not sensible to follow the advice of sinners. It is possible to use cleverness for wicked purposes, but some people act like fools because they dont know any better. A devout person, even if he is not very intelligent, is better off than the cleverest of sinners. It is possible to be marvelously clever and still be dishonest, or to get what you want by being absurdly polite. (Sirach.19:20-25)… And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. (2Cor.11:14-15)
