"If airports are the bridges, people do the bridge building. You can end up in hundreds of airports in a lifetime but if you don’t move outside the airport to understanding the city, country and people who live beyond the airport then the bridge loses part of its efficacy. Whether the city be Delhi or Mumbai; Dubai or Frankfurt; Karachi or São Paulo, the airport is just an inanimate bridge, a vehicle for the bridge builder. It can’t serve as the human connection that is so critical in building understanding."~ from Bridges to the World published in Communicating Across Boundaries ©
