... If people wont respect our no, then there is no reason to expect respect from them if given access to our lives when we say yes. The only people who judge and attack the healthy boundaries God has us establish in our lives, in order to wisely guard our hearts, are those who seek to exploit us for selfish gain. People who are unable and or unwilling to surrender their lives to Jesus to become able to say no to themselves and their fleshly appetites, will continually seek to take advantage of others and use them and their resources to try to satisfy their selfishness. They themselves have no boundaries, or self respect the boundaries make possible, so it is unrealistic to expect them to acknowledge and or show respect for the boundaries of others. The fallen human nature is self loving, self seeking and self destructive and the ONLY remedy is to receive a new nature by faith in Jesus, through confessing and repenting of our sin. This new nature will be that of our Heavenly Father, who was perfectly personified in and through His Son, Jesus The Christ. Both Jesus and The Father are One and His Holy Spirit empowers us to be one with them, no longer living trying in futility to satisfy or gratify the flesh, that only leaves us empty, corrupted and condemned, but walking in newness of life as new creations in Christ, His Spirit bearing fruit in us that nourishes the souls of others and brings glory to God...
