*Important: Clarification Regarding MDA* Some of your might have caught the earlier post regarding MDA about not wearing of costumes on the way to EOY. I got one of my guys to take down the post earlier, as I was not aware of the post and needed to speak with MDA with regards to this matter. The staff at MDA have called me, and we have spoken. Most importantly, I wish to highlight that MDA only licenses the event, and they are very supportive of our event, and they are not against anyone or our art. As spoken to them, the act of not wearing costumes on the journey via public transport is an advisory guideline for your safety, and not law. If youre wearing generic costumes, that is fine. But what the police is worried (not MDA) in this case, is that guests wear over-revealing costumes and alarm the public. I know and trust that almost all of you are responsible and will not do that, and EOY has your best interest at heart. While I am awaiting more information from MDA (if there is) or Central Police, it is not a crime. However, please promise me that you will dress decently and appropriately while youre on your way to EOY for this weekend. Its a collectively effort that we all need to put in together. The police or MDA is not against you, or EOY in particular. They are just concerned for your modesty and your safety, thats all. Please trust in the EOY team that we have everyones interests at heart. Were a community event after all, and were like family. I dont want you guys to get questioned by the police as well and what sets us apart is that we dont just work with the governing bodies, but also closely with the entire community as well, which is every single one of you. Thats all I needed to address for now. If theres anything from MDA or the central police, I will update everyone accordingly. Meanwhile, prepare all your costumes, and chiong ahh!!
