***Important Information Update*** Worth County 911 has received numerous calls concerning two exchange students selling educational material door to door. Many have seen the post on facebook about foreign members looking for children to kidnap. Please note this is the information that we have at this time: There are two female exchange students in Worth County who have obtained legal business license through the Worth County Building and Zoning Department. This license is on file with the Worth County Sheriff’s Office as well. The members are driving the following vehicles: Vehicle 1: 2013 Toyota Carolla Silver in color with a tag number of V430NN Vehicle 2: Silver Volkswagen Jetta Tag FJ4M9W. These individuals are employed with Southwestern Advantage as door to door sales persons. Sheriff Jeff Hobby will be making contact with these individuals to personally speak with them on exactly what questions they will be asking and the material they are selling. As precautionary measures: (For any door to door sales persons) DO NOT give them information on your children. Refrain from speaking about age, names, gender, schedules or anything that may identify your child(ren) and their schedules to an unknown person. You can report any encounter to Worth County E-911. Stay tuned for additional updates from Sheriff Hobby as information becomes available.
