#InCaseYouMissedIt: Former inmate John Krause is serving fresh-roasted coffee with a side of rehabilitation. Krause, once incarcerated at San Quentin State Prison, is now the owner of Big House Beans in Antioch. The coffee-roasting company employs former offenders and also holds fundraisers for Bay Area rehabilitation programs like Restore, which provide support for people in recovery in Concord. The small business owner credits faith and his time as a counselor in San Quentins Substance Abuse Program with awakening in him the ability to change his ways and the determination to help others. As we grow, it will always be part of our mission to help men and women who have had challenging upbringings, Krause told the Conatra Cost Times.
