This special pei guy has been at Chesterfield, SC Animal Control for quite a while, and the only reason is because he is heartworm positive! Many rescues cannot take these dogs because treatment is time-consuming and expensive. But Hank Jr. is a southern gentleman and has waited patiently in his kennel while other dogs have come and gone. Even his buddy, who he was surrendered with, has found a home. But the great news is Hank has a rescue offer from Rescue Express in PA and a local foster offer for his heartworm treatment.
