Pastor I admit I am a bit of a skeptic when it comes to long distance relationships. So heres the scoop. A friend of mine who is saved and living for God as far as I can see, says several months ago she started having the desire to move to another state. Last month, a guy starts instant messaging her. She does not know him at all. He actually lives in the state that she now has a desire to move to. She says she has talked to him for several hrs on the phone. She has prayed and asked God to show her if this is His doing. I suggested (because she asked me) that she not talk to him anymore until she hears from God to avoid getting her feelings in an uproar after all she has been single and waiting for a longtime. She thinks she should continue to talk and get to know him. Oh yeah, she says he is saved and has a relationship with God. What would you advise? A: Great Question I can’t speak on whether or not this is from God or not. Some times God will do this very thing. Other times He will use this person to maybe confirm that she is supposed to live in that other state. I know that nothing is by coincidence. We do not deal in coincidences. What she has to determine is why is he in her life. I can’t answer that for her. But, I will advise that she just takes it slow until the heavenly intentions are revealed. Sooooooo many people miss the true call of a relationship.
