:Its been a week now since my hasty departure from Libya. I only had a thousand dollar on me. My tickets were bought on personal loan by my most trusted person at the airport. It cost as much as the usual paid back and forth ticket by the university, one I did not have the luxury of time to wait for its release. The plane could only accomodate more than 100 passengers, most of whom had been coming to Misurata airport for days! I was grateful to have been included. It was the last flight out of Libya according to my most trusted person. Before being allowed to go up the the plane, we had to each identify our luggage on the tarmac and saw it loaded by airport employees. Without a Turkish transit visa, I was unable to claim my luggage in Turkey but I was assured it will be loaded on my flight by Turkish Airways to HK all the way to Manila. Unfortunately, I learned at the last minute that it was not on board my flight. I lodged a complaint in HK. The Turkish Lady Ambassador to the Philippines, a friend to my parents, so graciously has extended her help on this. That as it is, I remain deeply grateful to be home to family and lifelong friends. Alhamdulillah!♡♡♡
