.Its time for our Friday Follow Up! We received and update from Dexter formally known as strutter This is what this handsome kitty had to say.I arrived FOA the end of August 2013 with my mom and siblings. All of us were very sick. My siblings did not make it, but my mom and I slowly pulled through our illness. When we were finally well enough to be examined, I was told I was positive for the feline leukemia virus (my mom tested negative). I was unable to live in one of the cat rooms because of my disease, so I had my own private condo. I was given lots of love and attention, but I really wanted my own fur-ever home. At the end of November, my future moms kitty went over the Rainbow Bridge. Even though it was a sad time, my soon-to-be-mom decided she would take me home since she no longer had anyone to snuggle with her at night. Since then, I make sure mom is warm every night by sleeping next to her. I also make sure she is never late for work - I wake her up between 4:30-5:00am every morning - even Saturdays and Sundays! I love my mom and my fur-ever home. Mom takes great care of me - she makes sure I take my medicine everyday. I have windows were I can watch birds and squirrels play. There are always furry mice hiding under chairs and red dots to chase. Once, I played with the shower curtain liner: Ok - mom wasnt too happy about that...... On July 9th, my mom surprised me with a tuna cake for my birthday! It has been a wonderful first year for me. It could not have been possible without my great friends and family at FOA. I am hoping for many more years! Loves, hugs, and whiskers, Dexter. If you would like your adopted animal to be featured on our page please email a picture or two with a story to foacolich@gmail or send it to our Facebook page
