‘I’ll let you dispose of my body once you’ve stripped it bare and whispered that you care’ ~Awake At Night This Thursday at Failtes Irish pub in Mississauga we’ll be playing an acoustic charity show in support of Interim Place who’s slogan is ‘Closing the door on abuse - opening the door to hope.’ I wrote the song Awake At Night while in a relationship that left me feeling belittled, rejected, used and alone all while being told that I was loved….abuse in any form darkens the light from life and leaves you feeling alone and hopeless. It’s a true blessing that there are places like Interim place that open the door to women and let the light in during a dark time. We’re lucky and honoured to be in a position to raise awareness with our music for places like Interim place. If you can relate to the words below, never hesitate to reach out to people you love and trust or places like Interim place and speak the truth about whats going on in your life. With the proper support you can gain strength to take your life back and feel an existence filled with hope, laughter, peace and true love.
