***JAPAN CULTURAL EXCHANGE OPPORTUNITIES*** The Japanese Government is inviting ten AUT students to participate in a cultural exchange programme (called “JENESYS 2.0”) in Tokyo, Japan for ten days (1 to 10 December 2013) – the aim is to promote global understanding of Japan and deepen mutual friendship between the youth of Japan and the ASEAN-Oceania region. What is covered by the Project: return airfares from Auckland to Tokyo, insurance, accommodation, meals, and transport in Japan. To be eligible for the JENESYS 2.0 Programme an applicant must be a New Zealand citizen currently studying in a Bachelor level degree programme at AUT University and have an excellent academic record. You must also have excellent English oral communication skills and of course have a strong interest in Japan (Japanese language ability is not essential). Participants will be required to perform a NZ dance and a Japanese song as a group at an event in Tokyo (more info in the attached application form and guidelines provided by the Programme organisers).The deadline for all submissions is 10am Tuesday, 29 October, 2013 so please be quick!
